Stitched by the love for the dense green forests and a sense to stand by the environment that has nurtured us, we are two corporate professionals who incorporated the Habitat Research & Development Foundation (HRDF) to enable habitats. Being into corporate world for more than two decades, we have felt the urge to give something back to the society we belong to. HRDF is a philanthropic initiative which kick started with the massive cyclone Amphan that wreaked havoc in West Bengal, Odisha and Bangladesh in May 2020 amidst the Covid19 pandemic. In an effort to reach out to a larger mass of people in an organized and transparent way, HRDF was incorporated on July 1, 2021, backed by the moral support and blessings from families and friends around the world. HRDF is mostly prompted by the legacy of the founder members. Our passion and curiosity related to forestland have helped us gather significant on-ground information over past decades. Our knowledge on the criticality of survival of the forest ecosystem gives us the confidence to step into extremities and help the survivors.
